  Thomas exchange has been my go to fx exchange company for the past 5 years. Consistently the lowest rates in London where you can get your immediate currency needs met.

  The problem with this place is that there are too many individuals trying to be clever and tell you that they are giving you the 'best rate'. More often than not, they think you have no idea what the exchange rate is and no idea how to play one exchange rate office off against another, and when you laugh at them pronouncing that 'This is the best rate you will get anywhere' they start to get annoyed and offer up insults, as if this is going to endear you to do business with them.
  
  I exchanged my money with them last year, but this time I was offered a better rate with BFC which is about 20 seconds walk away.
  
  In my opinion, try and speak to the young Asian man there (he looks very young), as he seems far more interested in doing business than the other fat, loud mouthed Indian guy behind the counter. He is more interested in listening to the sound of his own voice than exchanging your money.
