  I locked myself out of my boat and needed to buy bolt cutters to cut the padlocks. They charged £80 for the bolt cutters which, I found out later, could be bought for £15-£20 in other shops. I took the bolt cutters back to my boat but they would not cut through the locks. I tried to return the bolt cutters 20 minutes later, with absolutely no damage to them, and they said that they would not give a refund (even though this is is illegal
  
  I decided to try to take the hinges off the doors of the boat. The man at Taous told me that, if I bought two screwdrivers, he would refund me the money if I brought them straight back. I did so and he did not refund the money. The screwdrivers were undamaged.
  
  The main issue I had with the staff at this shop was the veneer of "doing me a favour", before absolutely shafting me.
  
  Needless to say, I would not go back. Partly because of what happened, and partly because of the extortionate prices of items which can be bought for much cheaper elsewhere.
