  Booked an SUV for a 2 week holiday in Germany. Confirmed the booking on the morning of pickup only to be told that there was a problem when we arrived to pick up the car. The car we booked was not available and we then had to hang around for two hours to eventually get an acceptable replacement, almost causing us to miss our ferry. On returning the car, there were attempts to blame us for damage we did not cause that was clearly there for some time. The main guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful but that does not change the fact that previous damage was not logged and the inference was that we did it. Have hired hundreds of cars for business and like many, Sixt make money on selling you insurance and will find any excuse to charge extras. Will update if they attempt to charge us later...

  Overpriced, cars never as advertised, they screw you on everything. Can’t return in one day, cancellation fee is the same as price. Never pay in advance.

  After one month back home they charged again the receipt. My bank has done the claim and we are still awaiting a response. We do not recommend SIXT to anyone.
