  We went for the tasting menu which I would highly recommend -- for £48 you get delicious, creative food, all of which was delicious. We started with 'snacks' of salami, olives, and pickled fennel, followed by bread with smoked marrow butter and chicken liver mousse which was particularly tasty. Then came dishes of smoked eel, mackerel, and deer; we opted to have the cheese course, which involved home-made honey. There were then 2 (!) desserts: ice-cream sandwiched between two thin, sweet wafers, and a salted caramel and chocolate ice-cream dessert. Perfect for a special occasion, and the staff were very friendly, too.
